Michael Decker, Ph.D. had joined the faculty of the Department of Physiology and Biophysics as an Associate Professor.
Dr. Decker is a systems physiologist who received his Ph.D. from CWRU, followed by faculty appointments at Emory University and the CDC. His research is focused upon characterizing mechanisms through which hypoxia evokes structural and functional impairments within neural circuits mediating cognition and motor control. His laboratory employs both clinical and laboratory-based techniques ranging from human neuroimaging to immunohistochemistry.
Dr. Decker is currently funded by the NIH and the Dept.of Defense.
